Virginia Services

Day Support

At Heritage House of Virginia, Inc., our Group Day Support program provides person-centered, community-based services that promote independence, community involvement, skill development, and meaningful daily participation. Services are individualized to support each person's goals, interests, strengths, and preferences.

Participants have opportunities to develop skills in communication, self-advocacy, community navigation, social interaction, decision-making, safety awareness, and daily living through engaging, community-based experiences.

Program activities may include:

  • Life Skills & Community Learning: Building independence by accessing community resources such as banks, libraries, post offices, restaurants, and local businesses.
  • Volunteer Opportunities: Giving back through partnerships with food banks, animal shelters, churches, and other community organizations.
  • Community & Recreation: Exploring parks, museums, festivals, cultural events, sporting events, theaters, and other local attractions while building relationships and community connections.

At Heritage House, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to learn, contribute, build relationships, and actively participate in their community. Our Group Day Support program empowers individuals to make choices, develop new skills, and pursue meaningful lives that reflect their personal goals.
